Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges
After breakfast, our journey begins from Ouarzazate as we embark on a scenic drive along the road of a thousand Kasbahs. Our first stop is the lush Skoura Oasis, where we’ll explore the impressive Amridil Kasbah. Continuing through the stunning Rose Valley of Kalaat Mgouna, we’ll take in the beauty of its surroundings. By afternoon, we’ll reach the serene Dades Valley and the breathtaking Dades Gorges, where nomadic families reside. We’ll settle in for the night at a traditional Riad, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert Camp
After breakfast, we’ll begin the day with a leisurely walk through the canyons of the Dades Valley, soaking in its unique landscapes. We’ll then set off for Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs and dramatic views await. Following some time exploring the gorges, we’ll journey toward Merzouga. Upon arrival, we’ll leave our vehicle behind and embark on a camel trek guided by a local expert, taking us to the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. As we reach a high dune, we’ll witness the unforgettable desert sunset. Our night will be spent at a desert camp, where we’ll gaze at the stars and enjoy the rhythmic beats of nomadic music around a cozy campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’kob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
We’ll rise early to admire the spectacular sunrise over the desert before heading back to Merzouga. After freshening up, we’ll drive through the vast Tafilalet palm groves. A visit to Rissani awaits, the birthplace of Morocco’s royal family and once a major trading hub for caravans from the Sub-Saharan region. Next, we’ll travel to Alnif for a traditional lunch, followed by stops at the villages of Tazarine, N’kob, and others. Our route then takes us through the picturesque Draa Valley, passing by the village of Agdez, before arriving back in Ouarzazate, where our desert tour concludes.
